Final Pitch Part 2

The next section will be the press hating her as a star. This will be shown by them taking photos and shouting at her (looking angry). Then it will go into a news report and at the bottom of the screen a newspaper headline and pictures showing of the bill board of her canceled tour.

The fan watching the news seeing the tour has been canceled. Fan holding tickets in hand. Rips them up and walks out.

Shaking loads, looking up confused at the camera, pushing it away, really paranoid.
Gets up trying to get out of the white room, but door slams shut on her, panicking kicking walls, screaming, slides down wall crying.

The door opens when she's sitting on floor, still shaking, starts to get up and walk through door, which takes her straight into a dark tunnel where she starts to run.

inspiration

from looking at last years music videos, this video stood out to us as we like the effect of the split screen, its makes it look very professional and different. we may not use this idea but we like the idea.

We are four A2 media students at long road Sixth Form College in Cambridge. As part of our course we are making a music video, for this we have chosen one of Texas’s songs – ‘tell me the answer.’ Although we are aware that you are no longer a band, we would still like to do this song, we chose this song because we enjoyed the lyrics and tune.

We have a few initial ideas for this song that may or may not develop, but we are wondering if you could tell us the inspiration and story behind this song to give us an idea on how to betray this song.

Choices For Song and Thoughts

For this project we have to choose one song from a list 13 randomly chosen.
This songs include:

From this list of songs we have chosen Texas - Tell me the answer as we believed it was the best set of lyrics, we thought we could do something really creative with this song. Texas was also the only one with an up beat, women performer where as the other women performers were quite depressing songs. Although we do have a backup song which is New Soul by Yael Naim this our second choice as it had just a women performer and also had an ok beat in the background but we were not so keen on the lyrics as they didnt really make sense and had no structure.

The reason we needed to have just a women singing was because as you can see the group is all girls and we thought it would be complicated if we had to rely on a boy that we had never worked with before.

Mel, Lauren, Rosie and Naomi!

We have worked together last year for both our Kids TV and Thriller and therefore we share the different skills to do with shooting and editing a short film/music video however some of us have a specific skills in certain areas.

Rosie and Lauren work well as a team when it comes to shooting the footage but also enjoy editing and therefore share the tasks.

Naomi also likes to edit and shot and again helps out with both, but she also likes to be in front of the camera showing off her talent of performing.

Mel likes to be creative with the music along with Rosie and again helps out with the editing, she also likes to perform in front of the camera being the main performer in the footage.

As a group we take part in everything especially when it comes to ideas for the video.
