Feedback from Final

Positive - Lip syncing clear, color correction good, white room with affect good, Variety of shots, flowed well, breaking news was good, Good effects on the green light.


Negative - Serious music video but people were laughing, weird scenes that make people feel uncomfortable so they laugh, certain bits too far didn't fit such as jittery hands and leaves.

Editing So far ...

The group as a whole has all contributed in the editing and put forward their ideas. We have had a few disagreements in what affects t use when and where however we have solved these.. Another problem we have encountered is that we have not yet filmed the bill board and can not get on with that although this is not a major problem this can easily be overcome.

We have decided not to use the white room footage as the black room footage worked a lot better and looked a lot more affective.

today we filmed in the black room. in the room we used a blue filter on a spotlight so that we could light up our star. we created test footage and then carried on to film our song. we positioned the light in different angles to capture different sides. we also filmed without the blue filter to see the brightness of the spotlight.

tomorrow we are going to film mel in the centre of cambridge trying to go about her normal business but as she is a celebrity, paperazzi make it very difficult.

Ideas from feedback

From our feedback from the class we have realised that we need to make some changes to our location shots in order to make the storyline a little bit clearer this will also add more interest into the music video as at the moment there is a lot of mel in the white room lip syncing to the camera.

Therefore we have decided to film in the dark room like we did the white room but his time have some lights maybe different colours to add some interest and vary the shots a bit more. We are also going to film some more to add in but we are going to film around Cambridge as a lot of our filming is inside and we would like to vary our filming. This is when we will be filming the news reader again as it was very windy the say we tried to film it. We will also be filming the billboard with the second fan in front as we have lost the shots of Rosie ripping up the tickets. So we are now going to film her bit in front of the billboard realising that the tour has been canceled. We are also going to add to the footage and Film Mel around Cambridge but in more discreet locations other than grand arcade and obvious places like that therefore we will be filming down the little cobble streets with boutique shops on them. We will also include Mel trying on expensive clothing and been watched and followed by paparazzi. This will then add interest to the video.

The filming of the dark room will be done in Thursday's media lesson and the filming around Cambridge will be done in Friday's lesson.

Shooting Schedule

When: Next Lesson we are going to start filming all the white room scenes, due to it being in college and most convenient. All the rest of the shots in Mel house will be done on Friday 3rd as the group all finish early! This will enable us to get all the footage out of the way for mels house.

Where: We will be filming at Mel's house for the fans and the newsreader. We will also use her house/car for the paparazzi scene of where she will be stepping out of the car. We will also be trying the tunnel scene in mels underground building.

This is the poster we will be using in our video. For when the fan will rip it off the wall in anger! We did this in photoshop again and simply added a name on the side to make it look more realistic.

This is our final image of the billboard, we are using this after her hate is portrayed in the press, this image is to help viewers understand that she is no longer wanted in the public eye and has ruined her career. This will help us as we can then follow up by the insane side of her!

This is the next billboard that will be shown. This image is to show the sold our world tour, we are using this so viewers see how famous she is, and that she is a big star and not just an every day performer but a singing sensation!

This is our final background for the billboard as it looks a lot more effective by just cutting the photo down and adding a simple subtle affect. Again we did this by using photoshop.

Billboard Background Practise

This was a test photo of Mel that we wanted to use for the photo on the background of the billboard. The original photo had a details background in which we wanted to cut out therefore we put onto photoshop and edited it. This caused problems due to the small details that we needed to go around. This made the final one look unrealistic and like mel was just stuck there. We also changed the background colour making it have a gradient to make it more intersting. However this is not the one we are going to be using and are going to try again with a different photo as it may be easier and look more effective.

Images of Location Shots and Props

This is how we intend to represent the white room within our music video. WE will also have a white costume, in order to really exaggerate her face and the expressions and worries on it. The white room is being used to show the mental state of mind, as most people associate white rooms with insane illnesses.
This image is to highlight the use of a fans room, the fans room will have plenty of poster covering the wall. This will help to highlight the characters obsession with the star and to show that she is world wide and well known.
This image is how we intend to make our billboard look. We have already tried out test footage and edited pictures and we hope to recreate one similar to this.
This image is how we intend to show the news, as the star does something wrong. The newsreader will be talking but you wont be able to hear what shes says so headlines will be going across the bottom of the screen.
This is to how the newspaper cutting, when the star does something wrong there will be lots of newspapers scattered around and all these headlines will jump out to the audience in bold writting.

Opening scene:
